Gorbachev calls on Obama to carry out ‘perestroika’

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has said that Obama should carry out the same reforms that the former Soviet Union used that eventually led to the end of central planning of the economy.
Gorby said, “that the Obama administration in the United States needs far-reaching ‘perestroika’ reforms to overcome the financial crisis and restore balance in the world.”
Who woulda thunk that the Russians are talking to US about free markets?
After so many years of Bush’s borrow and spending and Clinton’s tax and spending and all these years of the American Government mandating credit to those who can’t afford it and printing money out of thin air it’s no wonder we are in the financial straights we are in.
I mean…it’s so bad that countries once ridiculed as Communist regimes are looking like bastions of economic freedom and growth in comparison to the U.S.
But, never ceasing to amaze, the American People vote in yet another Marxist President who has no intention of getting Government out of the economy and out of our lives (and, sadly, the Republicans nominated a liberal, McCain, who would not have been much different).
