It seems the Republican Party is in some form of contest with the Democrat Party on who can out spend our tax money and out Socialize the Country.
Shortly after bailing out the bankers with the Socialist $700 Billion “No Bank Left Behind” bill they turned right around and voted for HR 6867, the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008.
The legislation provides another 7 weeks of extended unemployment benefits in every State, plus an additional 13 weeks in high unemployment States who have more than 6 percent.
Republicans used to stand on the principles of small government, less taxation and lower costly regulations. But they have certainly lost their way under the iron rule of the Neo-Cons. The final outlay for this new burden on the taxpayers will be $6,000,000,000, according to the GOP’s own web site: GOP.gov on H.R. 6867
It seems that nearly every Republican in the House has voted for this. Sure, unemployment insurance is all fine and dandy and is needed when laid off from work, but they could have offered something like, say, lower taxes to create more jobs?!?!

When will the Republican Party learn that the Neo-Con agenda is the same as the Democrat agenda and a major contributing factor of the decline of the US, Nationally and abroad?
